I’ve been wanting to do some more paintings on my iPad. I actually like the lack of control, it allows me to paint in a way that I don’t normally paint. I find myself scribbling a lot more, trying to imply, rather than illustrate. This allows for way more happy accidents…which I’ve found to look better than my deliberate strokes. Ive decided to do everything on one layer like an image made from actual paint…It’s forced me to start paying more attention to color and value at the same time, where I’ve always seen myself more of a line guy. All in all, I’m enjoying my iPad for something other than watching Netflix in bed…

So, this is the view of Washington, DC from my bedroom…I’ll try and post these as they progress.
